Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — A man who caused the death of one person while hitting a group of people who were part of the UAW Local 475 Eaton Aerospace picketers with his vehicle has been sentenced in Jackson County.

Court records show that 24-year-old Jayden Chase pled no contest to one charge of operating while intoxicated causing death and another charge of operating while intoxicated causing serious injury. The incident occurred on September 29, 2024, resulting in the death of Seth Webb, one of individuals Chase struck.

The records show that Chase was sentenced to serve 7 – 15 years in prison for the charge of operating while intoxicated causing death, and was also sentenced to 3 – 5 years for the other charge operating while intoxicated causing serious injury by Judge Thomas Wilson of the 4th Circuit Court.
