Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — The Jackson County Department of Transportation (JCDOT) has announced multiple additional ongoing road closures in Jackson.

One of them is on Blake Road in Blackman Charter Township between Elm Road and Dettman Road. The closure began on Monday, July 28, and the department says that closure is expected to be completed in 4-6 weeks, weather permitting.

The other road closure is taking place on Lawrence Road in Norvell Township between Wamplers Lake Road and Cash Road. The closure began on Wednesday, July 30, and JCDOT expects that closure to wrap up on Friday, September 12, weather permitting.

Both roads are closed to through traffic. For each closure, access will be maintained for local residents, emergency vehicles, school buses, mail delivery, and garbage services.

No official detour signs are posted, and drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes that account for potential travel delays.
