Police say the man wanted for killing an 18-year-old Jackson woman is still on the run.
Authorities confirmed Monday that 19-year-old Antonio Treyvonne Green has not been arrested, despite rumors on social media.
Green is charged in the July 27 shooting death of Mia Sims on Carl Breeding Way in south Jackson. Police say Sims was retrieving something from her car less than 100 feet from her church when she was shot.
The Jackson County Prosecutor and Jackson Police are asking for the public’s help in finding Green. His mugshot is posted on the department’s Facebook page.
He faces charges including second-degree murder, firing a gun into a building causing death, and using a firearm to commit a felony.
Anyone with information should call 911, Jackson detectives at 517-768-6432, or Crime Stoppers at 517-483-STOP. Sims was a Jackson High graduate, aspiring esthetician, and a member of the City’s Youth Council.
