With the return of legislature after a holiday break, law makers at the State Capitol will once again be considering the establishment of a monthly fee on every water meter across the state of Michigan. The issue is being met with opposition. The proposed $2 DOLLAR fee on every meter in the state would generate an estimated $70-million in revenue annually. The money would be earmarked to support a statewide water affordability program.
