Traffic on west-bound I-94 near Elm Avenue was reduced to one lane Friday afternoon after a semi truck driver veered off the highway and hit a tree. The impact ripped the cab of the truck apart. The driver of the semi managed to crawl out of the wreckage and was taken to Henry Ford Allegiance Health to be treated for unknown injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
