Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — The Southern Michigan Wolves semi-pro football team opens their season on Saturday, May 3, against the Adrian Silverbacks at Jackson High School. Kickoff for the game is scheduled for six p.m., and doors open at five. Owner and Head Coach Steve Gossett says that he is getting to coach a special group of guys.

The Wolves aren’t just a cohesive unit on the field, as the team embraces being a family off the field as well. That includes being there for teammate Rik Hilborn during a time of personal tragedy.

Jackson High is where the Wolves will now play all of their home games, with Coach Gossett telling us why the change of scenery was necessary.

Tickets for the game are $10, with costs for children ages 5-12 being $5.
