The Jackson County Department of Transportation (JCDOT) has closed the Robbins Road Bridge between Pope Church Road and Prine Road today.

The bridge, which has been in operation since 1942 was closed by structural engineers who have determined the bridge must be closed due to continued structural deterioration. JCDOT is in the process of seeking funding through available grant programs.

JCDOT will not be posting a detour route, and motorists should seek alternate routes.
