With the state budget getting passed after October 1 but before a shutdown because of an extension, State Representative Kathy Schmaltz gave a brief synopsis on some of the general details on what was passed.

Representative Schmaltz also went into some projects local to Jackson that received funding.

While Schmaltz believes that the budget is an overall win for House Republicans, there were some things that they had to compromise on with the Democrat-led Senate.
