Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — Heads up for drivers in Jackson: two major street closures are coming soon.
Starting Monday, July 21, Brown Street will close for construction through Sparks Foundation County (Cascades) Park. Work will run through August from Denton Road to High Street. Crews will upgrade sidewalks, mill the road surface, repave with new asphalt, and replace signs and striping. A posted detour will guide traffic along Kibby, West Avenue, and Morrell. Access to Randolph, Denton, and the Cascades Ice Cream Company will stay open.
Also on July 21, Blackstone Street will close between Louis Glick Highway and Trail Street to add a center left-turn lane. That project also wraps up in August. A detour will direct traffic via Michigan Avenue, Wildwood, West Avenue, and Ganson.
