Jackson native Brian Stuard is this year’s inductee into the Jackson Golf Hall of Fame. He becomes the 73rd member when he’s honored September 21st at Sharp Park Golf Course. The public is invited to attend the 1:30 p.m. ceremony at no cost.
Stuard, a Napoleon High School graduate, spent 12 years on the PGA Tour, earning more than $12 million. He won the Zurich Classic of New Orleans in 2016, collected 13 top-five finishes, and played in seven U.S. Opens, three PGA Championships, and the 2017 Masters.
Hall of Fame chair Elaine Crosby says Stuard’s success inspired golfers in Jackson and proved what can be achieved through hard work and dedication.
Crosby said this year, it was an easy decision.
With his induction, Stuard joins Dave and Mike Hill, along with Crosby herself, as the only Jackson golfers to compete at the game’s highest level.
