Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — In the early hours of Thursday, August 14, officers with the Jackson Police Department (JPD) responded to the 200 block of East Euclid Avenue for a report of shots fired.
According to the JPD, Sergeant Thoresen arrived on scene and observed an 18-year-old male subject walking in the area. He attempted to make contact with him and the subject fled on foot.
Officers then gave chase, and the subject was eventually apprehended. During a search of the area where the subject ran, authorities say they located a purse containing a stolen pistol, along with credit cards with a woman’s name on them.
It was determined that the purse and credit cards were stolen out of a vehicle in Summit Township, and the pistol was stolen from a separate incident.
The subject was arrested for resisting and obstructing; carrying a concealed weapon; and possession of stolen property. He was lodged at the Jackson County Jail.
