Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — The longest running Civil War event in the Midwest is gearing up for another year. The famous Jackson Civil War Muster is getting ready for its annual weekend at the Cascades on Saturday and Sunday.
Local Jackson Historian Maurice Imhoff has taken part in the event for years, and he spoke with WKHM about how Cascades gives it a unique identity in comparison to other Jackson landmarks.
Imhoff provided a rundown of what the Civil War Muster will bring to those who are able to attend throughout its first day.
Saturday evening features two of the Civil War Muster’s most prominent events in the Military Ball and Artillery Night Fire.
The Civil War Muster is free for all to attend, and a full schedule for the weekend ahead at Cascades can be found at civilwarmuster.org.
