Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — Two Brooklyn residents were arrested early Sunday morning in Columbia Township on outstanding warrants — and now face additional drug charges.

Police say they approached a truck in a parking lot on South Main Street around 2:15 a.m. and recognized the occupants as 35-year-old David Farmer Jr. and 30-year-old Shea Hopper. Both were taken into custody for their warrants.

During the arrest, officers found suspected drugs and drug paraphernalia. A search of the vehicle turned up methamphetamine. The two were lodged in the Jackson County Jail.

The case was reviewed by the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office, and both suspects have been formally charged with meth possession — a felony carrying up to 10 years. They also face enhanced penalties as habitual offenders.
