
Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — Michigan State Police (MSP) has announced that on Wednesday (September 17) at approximately 10:20 a.m., troopers from the MSP Jackson Post were dispatched to a residential fire in the 6800 block of Maple Lane Road.
Upon arrival, first responders discovered the residence fully engulfed in flames. After the fire was brought under control, two individuals, a 46-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman, were found dead inside the home. They are believed to be the homeowners.
Detectives from the Michigan State Police Special Investigation Section were called to the scene to assist with the investigation.
Autopsies will be conducted to determine the cause of death, and the investigation remains ongoing. On Thursday morning, MSP said there was “no further information available at this time.”
