Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — Police have identified the two men killed in a crash Monday morning on I-94 just west of Jackson.
According to Blackman-Leoni Public Safety Director Darin McIntosh, 30-year-old Montez Dallas Watson of Sterling Heights and 22-year-old Tyreke Martez Johnson of Warren were in the cab of a box truck when it slammed into the back of a gravel hauler that had slowed in traffic.
The crash happened just after 9 a.m., forcing a full closure of I-94 at Airport Road for nearly eight hours. Emergency crews worked the scene until the highway reopened around 4:30 that afternoon.
