Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — The Daughters of the American Revolution is hosting a Patriot Picnic at Cascades Park this Saturday, July 26. They are having the picnics in four Michigan counties named after Revolutionary War icons, including Jackson, in anticipation of America reaching 250 years old. Daughter Judy Van Poperin told WKHM that the picnic begins at 1 p.m., and the event is expected to gather people from all around Michigan.
The picnic will have a few things ready to provide an interactive experience related to the history of America.
Even if you show up without being prepared for a picnic of your own, there will be a food option available on-site, as well as a Jackson historian and Revolution era-appropriate games.
No registration or entry fee is required to attend.
