Jackson native Blade Jenkins who was drafted in the 5th round of the 2018 NHL draft by the New York Islanders has signed an entry-level contract with the team.

Jenkins most recently played with the Saginaw Spirit of the OHL.  In 47 games Jenkins scored 16 goals, totaled 40 points, and wore the “A” on his jersey.
