Jackson, Mich. — The Salvation Army of Jackson County has launched their Virtual Red Kettle campaign which goes on now through December 31st. The Virtual Red Kettle Campaign can be found at https://salarmy.us/jaxkettle. The iconic physical Red Kettle locations will begin the day after Thanksgiving: November 27th, through December 24th.

With the possibility of 50% fewer Salvation Army Red Kettles in Jackson County this year due to COVID-19, and demand for services increasing by up to 150% this Christmas, the Salvation Army of Jackson County is encouraging participation with their Virtual Red Kettle.

“This year, as always, it is our goal to serve all who come to us with need. With the possibility that the Salvation Army of Jackson County will see an 150% increase in demand, our ability to meet this need may be limited and we are calling on our community to meet this challenge with us,” said Corps Officer Major Jose Tamayo.

“Setting up a Salvation Army of Jackson County online “Virtual Red Kettle” is a completely safe and secure way for the public to support their neighbors in this time of great need,” said Brad Patterson – Development Director. “Virtual Red Kettles” – can be set up as an individual or an organizational team by visiting https://salarmy.us/jaxkettle – or at SAJackson.org.
