Jackson, Mich. — Jackson Mayor Daniel Mahoney joined WKHM this week to take a look back at the last year and highlighted many of the positive things that were accomplished in 2022. Among them was the movement forward on the Hayes Hotel. Deals to purchase the building and redevelop it have fallen through several times in the past, but Mahoney feels that the current proposal has the “right recipe” to move forward.

One year into his term, the Mayor lends credit to the experience he had as a Jackson County Commissioner for preparing him for his role in city government. “The biggest thing that I come with is a heart to serve the almost 30,000 people in the city of Jackson,” said Mahoney.
