Following a number of FOIA requests the City of Jackson has released a report with approval from the Michigan State Police.

The report indicates that the Michigan State Police are conducting an investigation of an incident that happened on July 30th that involved Third Ward Jackson City Councilperson Jeromy Alexander. The incident, described in the case report as “forcible contact”, occurred on July 30 at the Family Dollar Store located at 805 N. Francis Street. Alexander was not arrested, and no charges have been filed.

Jackson Police initially responded but turned the investigation over to the Michigan State Police. WKHM is withholding further information about the case since no charges have been filed in the case, which is now six weeks old.
