Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — Last week the State Senate passed onto the House a bill that would require schools to create a policy for cell phone use for their students. Senator Sue Shink said even though it would be a requirement, schools will still be able to tailor their policy to their needs.
That bill is now onto the House for consideration. This week the Senate will most likely address their version of the state budget.
Senator Shink said money for education is a priority for her. She said she would also like to see more money for corrections in the state budget.
