A domestic dispute escalated into a standoff, Saturday in Summit Township.

Police responded to a report of assault at a home on Lincoln Court at around 4AM.

A woman told police she was assaulted by a 29 year-old Jackson man.

The man had a firearm and was refusing the leave the house.

Police acquired a search warrant to enter the home and were able to arrest the man without incident.

He is currently held in the Jackson County Jail on an outstanding warrant and numerous additional charges.
