State of Michigan Fire Marshall Kevin Sehlmeyer is encouraging Michiganders to develop and practice a fire escape plan with their families.  Officials have developed a document to help in preparing a fire escape plan.

So far this year there have been 86 fatalities in Michigan from home fires.  When there is a fire in the home you have approximately 3 minutes to get out.
