Saturday morning, Jackson police discovered a human body in the Grand River near Monroe Street.
A kayaker reported seeing a body in the river Friday, prompting a search by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and the Jackson County Dive Team Friday night and again Saturday morning.
The gender of the person has yet to be confirmed pending a full autopsy. The body was described as significantly decomposed.
