Jackson, Mich. — The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) has celebrated “Women’s Week” all week long by posting daily videos, hosting events, and featuring the Women’s Wall of Fame on their website at JacksonChamber.org.

The culmination of Women’s Week took place this morning at Cascades Manor House, where the Chamber hosted a Women’s Week Panel Discussion. Moderator Monica Moser, President & CEO of Jackson Community Foundation, led the discussion with five women on the panel representing different business sectors.

Amanda Loveland with the Chamber told WKHM, “We’re highlighting women in different industries and asking them, ‘What’s it’s like to be a woman in your industry?’ So today is our final celebration with some highlighted industries in the mix.” Hear more from Amanda below.

Women in Banking: Chrissy Siders, President/CEO of True Community Credit Union
Women in Government: Arlene Robinson, Vice Mayor & Ward 1 Councilmember, City of Jackson
Women in Food: Alexis Gilbert, Sr. Director of Global Brand & Communications, Dawn Foods
Women in Law: Kristina Fisk, Attorney & Partner, Inocensio & Fisk, PLLC
Women in Media: Jenny Lewis, Host of Jenny & Jess in the Morning on K105.3, McKibbin Media Group

“It’s coming together to support, lift each other up, and say we care about this community, we care about each other, and we want to learn from each other,” said Chrissy Siders, President/CEO of True Community Credit Union about the event. Hear more from Chrissy below.

“It’s overwhelming and humbling at the same time to be a part of this group,” said Jenny Lewis of McKibbin Media Group before the panel discussion began. “I just want people to see my heart… just being real, that’s I think how you lead.” Hear more from Jenny below.
