Jackson, Mich. — In an effort to refresh all the branches of the Jackson District Library (JDL), the new Spring Arbor Branch is having a grand opening Saturday, March 18.

The newly renovated branch, which moved to 122 Star Road in late 2022, has been open since January this year and boasts an expanded footprint of 5,000 square feet.

The grand opening celebration will begin with a flag raising ceremony by Spring Arbor’s local Boy Scout Troop 144 at 11 a.m., followed by a ribbon cutting by the chamber of commerce. According to a statement by the JDL, “attendees can enjoy games and activities throughout the day, goodie bags, and live music from Jacktown Ukes from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m.” Light refreshments from local businesses will also be available.
